Most of us, don’t even know about the pH level of skin and how pH variation affects our skin. As per dermatologists, our skin requires to maintain a balance at slightly acidic range for optimal health of skin. The perfect range of pH level for skin is 4 to 5.5 which is slightly acidic in nature; at this level skin is able to stop the growth of bacteria’s. When the variation occurs in pH level of skin, it may cause skin problems such as acne, wrinkles and signs of premature aging. The pH level of skin is internally maintained by the secretion of sweat and sebum (oil from sebaceous glands) or the breakdown of fatty acid by beneficial microflora.

Follow these steps to maintain your skin pH range under 4-5.5:
1). Avoid shampoos, soaps and cleanser: Avoid the use of shampoos, soaps and cleanser that have high pH range. Most of the cleansing products have pH range more than 8 which is more alkaline and harm the acidic mantle of skin. Use Natural products which are formulated by using herbs.
